“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in” (Psalm 24:7).

YOU are the gate holding the key that will unlock your future and launch you into the next wave of God’s glory. You are the door that must be opened. Lifting up your head is your responsibility. No one else can do it for you. Others can motivate, encourage, and inspire, but ultimately you must decide to position yourself for the lift.

Father says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

God stands at the door of your heart knocking. God stands at the door of loneliness, unforgiveness, disappointment, frustration, anger, and heartache—knocking. He is just waiting for you to open up and let Him in. Can you hear Him knocking? His knock may come in the form of an opportunity. His knock may come in the form of a promotion. His knock may come in the form of enlarged territory. His knock may come in the form of increased faith. Listen for His knock.

I remember family gatherings around the dinner table, especially during celebrations or holidays. During those moments, we would share thoughts, stories,  memories, laughter, and even tears with one another. Wouldn’t you just love for God to sit at the dinner table with you and to share your deepest thoughts with Him? Respond to His knock so that He can dine with you at the dinner table of your heart as you begin to feast upon His Word.

You are the gate that must be unlocked and the door that must be opened. God is waiting for you to let Him in.
